Dear Diary: Raya & My New Look

Raya has just ended and my work load is back to normal. My term of normal is "busy". Sometimes, I'm just too focus on my jewelry making / selling until my blog went dead for a moment. So, it's time for a little bit of update. yay! This year Raya celebration is fun, was invited to berbuka puasa (break fast) with my Malay friends. The challenge was a non Muslim, which is me to fast for one day to feel the joy while celebrating. It was my 1st time fasting, no drinking either. We booked a table at Istana Bambu, recommended by food blogger Rebecca and the place is so beautiful! The whole place looks like a holiday villa with a breathtaking scenery. If you like nature, definitely a good place to try.

I felt satisfied with the price and variety of selection for food. Yums. Look closely at my wrist, it's new from GUESS WATCHES! Love this design because it fits nicely on my wrist. The design of the watch is for an individual who loves to have different style by changing it's strap. It has a small face with rhinestones around giving a glamor and chic look to any outfit, very suitable for casual look!

And moving to fashion.... if you know how busy I am making all those jewelry and selling them, it is #REAL.

and another fashion update is...

my hair!

Few weeks ago, I was thinking of having my hair to touch up the roots but hair-stylist said needed to dye the whole hair. My reaction went out of mind and to just accept it. Was trying not to spoil my hair because of dyeing too frequently. Oh well, counted my hair just dyed 3 times and it became so RED now. The almost same as Jessicat (according to my Sister). Behold the all new RED HEAD~!

x 3 Monday Blues

Last week was a very crazy week for me because of the Islamic Fashion Festival. I was helping out at the backstage, it turned out what seem to look fabulous on television is not real! It is indeed a very tough job when dealing with the designers, models, makeup artist and dressers. At the end, we put up a great show and dances to 'waka-waka' after the finale. We had fun! Thanks to the country that I'm living, we have 2 public holidays this week which is Tuesday and Thursday. Everyone loves holiday but having an off and on day is just making me feel lazy to go to work every 'on' day. So, I didn't spend much time to think how to style my office attire and went there with a lazy outfit, eg: jeans + blouse. And Friday, a flip flop to work!

I spent my holiday like heaven! Tuesday was one of the best day with FREE drinks from Starbucks in conjunction of celebrating Deepavali. It was also a day where we get to watch a one day special screening Coldplay concert movie in cinema.It was an awesome day also because I bought a blue tiger loafer! Oh no, I just realize the color is blue, like my Monday Blue syndrome.

My boyfriend then planed to do a photography on Thursday (the 2nd holiday). It may sound silly but we did a photography of a ROCK. Yes, a rock. ._. Um, the photography was a success! (shhh,I almost lost the sunlight)

Oh wow!!!! I was merely happy to be chosen as one of the semi finalist for GUESS Global Blogger Search. Too bad some of my friends don't understand the hype of it. Fab Birthday Week

The 10 Happiest Moment

I had a splendid birthday celebration last week with my friends, family and boyfriend. Here is a THANK YOU for wishing me by text and on my facebook wall.

Nadia + Me + Kelvin Tan + Reborn + Iman

1# One of my colleague were leaving on my birthday and so as a good "boss" , ehems... I have to put up a so-called birthday cum farewell dinner at Unlce Jang Dak Gal Bi. Although he had left, I still miss him at work because he can do magic whenever I need help. First time have great time with colleague and wish can have the same moment again! The best part is whenever he is around, our topic automatically talks about dancing. Oh, I miss real dancing.

2# Another friend had left also which is Emma. Aww, I miss her so much too! We had velvet cake and soft crab spaghetti at Ben's. It's my third time visiting Ben's. They have really delicious wedges, cake and pasta. It's a must try but a little bit pricey.

3# Few weeks ago, I was suppose to choose a product from FriendlyFashion. It took me so long just to find what I love. My heart stops when i saw the pastel flora bodycon dress from Lextraordinaire page and immediately message her. You know like how a shopaholic does? *nods* So happen that I receive it on my birthday week and wore it to see my boyfriend for our anniversary plus birthday celebration at Tony Roma's. Many people gave me positive feedback for that dress and it only cost Rm45. Cool huh.

4# My boss gave me a shock when he handed me a birthday present. I watch Devils Wears Prada and Jane In Design, but this act of his gave me a "aww, you are such a sweet boss!". Then again , because of one episode in Jane in Design where her boss gave her a Hermes and after she couldn't complete her task, her boss took back the Hermes. Well, I hope this does not apply to me. *gasp*

5# Celebrating with family is a tradition. We eat out and cut cake after that. This year I chose to eat my all time favorite baked potato in sour cream sauce at LoganHaus, Taipan. Add on Rum Raisin Ice-Cream Waffle for appetizer and after that indulge in phantom of the opera with lot's of macaroon. I slept with a smile to end the night with best present of the year JUICY COUTURE.

My Big Day

On a fine day where I sit down with my colleague and have lunch with them. I know, that is going to be my usual everyday now and then in my entire life. I'm not young anymore. *sobs*. Therefore, I have a sudden thought in mind. A thought about my life and the future. Of course not to the extend until getting married! Haha (that will not be me for now). The 'me' now going to be the 'me' that enjoys working and going for entertainment such as music concerts or festival. Oh no-no, I am not emo-ing about life.

It's just that

HEY! IT'S MY FREAKING BIRTHDAY! *facepalm*

Here is the best quote of the day : LIFE ISN'T ABOUT FINDING YOURSELF. LIFE IS ABOUT CREATING YOURSELF. There's no point stressing about life, just follow the flow and passion.Alright? ^_^

Wow, sometimes I wonder what have I done all these years. All I could remember is ever since I started to blog, my life change a 360 degree. Like seriously there was a lot of drama and thankfully I survive for 5 years, and still writing my heart out. For those inspiring to be bloggers there, blogging is not just about blogging for other people slash company but it is actually for you to express yourself to others. A quality blogger doesn't do direct sells, they open a boutique.

Pardon me if I leave some of you hanging with my CNY entry. Well, many have awesome CNY, mine has an incredible unexpected journey. That journey of mine failed to eat my loved "Triangle Kuey Teow" because there were house construction going on and STILL GOING at a new neighbor house.So there goes my mood of blogging. Anyway, CNY is so yesterday. Let's move on and skip that journey. I promise that.

My life is pretty interesting after CNY (Chinese New Year). It's very unexpected and very awesome! Few months back, I've finish my internship at MIFA, done my "oh-so-boring" report and got offered to work at a MODELLING AGENCY! SHssss! Not gonna reveal now. *winks* Uh-Huh, That explain why I am so busy nowadays. Busy with Fashion Events.

Besides working, I went for my very first concert using my own hard earn money. The band that I dying to listen live, Evanescence.Amy Lee voice is worth every single cents. She definitely rocked KL that night and it was an unforgettable night.

And for now, I'm planning to launch my own fashion jewelry line, new brand and new look. Hope to launch it by next month.

Hey guys. I know that I have been floating my blog with my splurge on shopping. I actually shopped less this year compared with last year. Shopping malls were surprisingly quiet during this festive season. Everybody must have been trying to save as much money as they can. We Chinese celebrate Chinese new year every year. In this multiracial country , everybody gets to enjoy the holiday no matter what race you are.Plus, shopping malls have major final cut on their products.

This year is the year of the Dragon . I am born in the year of Dragon. So that means I have lot's of good luck awaiting me. Well, I hope so.

There's a meet and greet with prosperity god and he was giving some sweets to some people.I thought he was so generous to give the money from his hand. Haha. I think he likes my friend ,Yee Lin, so he gave her sweets but not me and Nurul.

On the 18th , the om nom nom bloggers group organize a gathering. I was not suppose to be there but because my boyfriend was one of the members so he brought me along. We went to Sushi King , Midvalley.
Since I or some other never try japanese "Lousang" before , so we decided to have a try. Turned out pretty good.The Lousang is for 6 people maximum , cost RM 38. The price is quite reasonable.

Everyone uses their chopstick and began to create a mess with this dish. This is the fun part of it. The purpose is to wish for more luck and money for the year.There's no problem wishing for a new love. Hehe.

We were very happy to meet Tikkos again after 6 months of Missing In Action. Just kidding, he wasn't missing , he was happily traveling around the world.I was very into his experience in China as I never been to China before even I am Chinese.

it's 2012

It's 2012 and the weird thing is I still feel like it's 2011. Seriously can't believe it's 2012 , looks like the time goes too fast to even notice that the time passes while I'm busy. Yeah, I'm a busy woman and don't even have much time to go to any events anymore. Sigh. well , I don't wanna fail my internship and there's so much things to do like experiencing new roommates, designing jewelry and trying to keep this blog alive (I don't want it dead). The holidays are moving quickly like tornado , like a 15 mins show after another... First, it was Muslim holiday ( i realize that Monday blues went to holiday on December) , then Christmas and New Year , after 3 weeks it's gonna be Chinese New Year. The decorations are changing very quick as I can see that the effort has decrease because of the time is too tight.

I decided to celebrate Christmas and New Year with the parents. Somehow my parents decided to "eat at home". So we just takeaway the turkey from Victoria Station and other dishes, warm up and prepare some other small side lines. No fancy dining for the year 2011. Global financial crisis? Everyone is saving up. We ate turkey for 3 meals a day and I almost have phobic of looking at the turkey. *troll.jpg*

My dear Bern says that because I'm not into Christmas stuff so he gave me Halloween stuff instead. He also gave me some sweets as well. While I gave him something from my office and something I bought from KLCC which is next to my office. *no time to shop* .

I went KTV with my KTV kaki at pavilion RedBox and the best thing is that their buffet is worth the price we pay. RedBox was so in the Christmas mood until they make Christmas theme cakes that seems too cute to eat!

Christmas was very simple like that and for new year we ate out and see fireworks from the balcony. Kind of bored so we feel #foreveralone . ZZzzzz

So here I need to face it that it's already 2012! It's the year of the Dragon . Hope it bring lot's of Luck!

I've been spending my skills / time to decorate the living room. In case some kids ring the bell for some treats. Kids nowadays . I deco with my awesome fake spider web using white ribbon and sweets bought from "secret" place. Ahahahaha..... The treats are very ghoulish. Honestly , I even freak myself out when holding those lolipop bones! EEEeekss.

For my Blogshop, I made treat bags design and drawn by me . Yes, It's a D& D.

I am so proud of myself to accomplish so many different design !

So, what's up for christmas?

Maybe i should borrow "ARTHUR's " ship from ARTHUR's Christmas Movie.

Job slash Shop Hunting

Many of my classmates have been starting to look for a JOB after graduation . While , i am still thinking of my time management and trying to get my niche pen down . At least , trying to know what Questions will be asked during interview. I have done interview for Multimedia Design before but Fashion? Why i love Fashion? But one thing about in Retail Line is that "the obsess for shopping spark turns ON",....

My very own Lady Gaga Shoes, Yeah!

This is one of my Visual Merchandising project theme "The Body Collection". We were asked to display parts of human body like eyes, boobs, vains, bones, hands, butt, head .. etc. I know it sounds gross but i guess it would be very interesting. Anyway, my team mates decided to do spines. We thought that nobody will do spines. That is TRUE but everybody did BONES!! I was like " what?O.o" - ok , we did thought of doing boobs or ehemz ehemz.... *censor* Our window display will be under censorship due to some rights then , haha.

We got this idea of spines by this infamous spine heels and I've D.I.Y the whole spine thing.
